 Circuit Profile

A fast, modern F1 circuit, Sepang’s smooth surface offers a good level of grip. A hard set-up, with medium to high downforce the best compromise for the 2 long straights and high speed corners. The track layout is designed as a mid to high speed course with two relatively long straights and several compound curves. But the most important peculiarity for Sepang is of course the heat. The cars’ as well as the drivers’ ability to deal with this punishing heat is the key to achieve good results here.
