After a successful outing at Buddh International Circuit during the 2011 Formula 1 Airtel Grand Prix of India, Motorsport Asia has announced plans for an 18 Round JK Racing Asia Series 2012 Season.

The Series have just had its penultimate race weekend at Buddh International Circuit amidst the glamour of Formula 1 at the home of Title Sponsor, JK Tyre & Industries. The Series will hold its finale at the Sepang International Circuit as part of the endurance race, Sepang 1000KM Race (S1K).

The JK Racing Asia Series organisers have announced their intention to continue to support Formula 1 events much like 2011. The 2011 Season saw the Championship participate in 3 Formula 1 events, Malaysia, Singapore and India. In total, the 2012 JK Racing Asia Series will visit no less than 5 countries.

The JK Racing Asia Series may also make a visit to the South of Malaysia, near the border of Singapore. Talks are underway to confirm participation at the legendary Malaysian circuit in Johor, should the refurbishment be done in time.

The provisional calendar has been issued to the teams and a public announcement will be issued once the contracts with the various parties are signed.
