Thompson set to open Japanese F3 campaign in Suzuka

’s Gary Thompson will get his 2012 Japanese Formula Three campaign underway this weekend (14/15 April) at the famous Suzuka International Circuit.

 

 

Thompson, is back in Japan for the Japanese F3 Championship with SGC by KCMG, and after establishing himself as a proven race winner previously, the sole aim is to mount a serious title challenge for the coming season.
 
The Aviation Display backed 19 year-old, welcomes back long time supporters Cebu Pacific and series sponsor Achievement, and is proud to add Smart Lamp to his list of supporters for 2012.

 

“I’m feeling very confident ahead of the season opener this weekend,” explained Thompson. “We have a new car in the Toyota powered Dallara F308 and I have worked very hard with the team to get a good balance.”

 

“Suzuka is such an amazing circuit, the first sector is my favourite part of the track, but all in all, it’s unlike anywhere else that I have raced in the world.”

 

“The car is feeling really good, so I think we have the package to go out there and look for a win here.”
