Aston Hare joins Eurointernational for JK Racing Asia Series 2012

Eurointernational is pleased to announce a third driver, South African sensation Aston Hare, for the team’s already impressive lineup of talents in the 2012 Season of JK Racing Asia Series (JKRAS).




Sixteen year old Hare, who has a winning karting career that began since he was five years old, in South Africa, will be joining the team that won the 2011 JKRAS Team and Driver Championships. The youngster will make his single seater debut during the JK Racing Asia Series scheduled to be held at Sepang International Circuit this 25-27 May 2012.


Of his drive with Eurointernational, Hare says “After many seasons in karting I am looking forward to my main circuit debut with Eurointernational in the JK Racing Asia Series. We have been very fast at Sepang in pre-season testing and on all other European tracks so I will aim for a top podium position from the start.


“For me winning is not everything - it is the ONLY thing - and I can count on my Team to keep me a front runner all season long” ended the confident youngster.


“We have worked very well with Aston since our first test at Sepang last February. He has broken almost all JK Racing Asia Series and Formula BMW track records where he has tested” said Antonio Ferrari, Eurointernational Team Principal.


“The JKRAS is a difficult program, especially for a Rookie like Aston, but we can count on his talent and determination, on our technical resources and management, combined with the traditional winning attitude of the Team, to bring him to the Rookie Cup Championship and to the overall Title, as Lucas Auer did last season” he concluded.


The 2012 JKRAS comprises of 16 races held at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, Paul Ricard in France, Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, Marina Bay in Singapore, and Buddh International Circuit in India.


The Series has an unrivalled track record for training future Champions with graduates at the highest level of the sport such Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Daniel Ricciardo in F1 while new up and coming stars like Felipe Nasr, Daniel Juncadella, Alexander Rossi, Robert Wickens, Carlos Sainz Jr, all drivers who have started their autoracing career winning with the Eurointernational Team in Formula BMW around the world.


Since 1989, Eurointernational has entered 486 races worldwide, with 105 wins, 147 podiums, 109 poles, winning 15 Overall Drivers Championships, 12 Team Titles and 4 Rookie Cups. Eurointernational is a Championship Winning Team in Formula BMW history worldwide, with 72 wins, 92 podium, 88 poles, in 154 races, including 6 Team Championships, 6 Driver Championships, 3 Rookie Cup and last year’s World Final title.
