Melvin Choo has confirmed his participation in the 2009 season finale of the GT3 Asia Challenge held this weekend at the Autopolis International Circuit, Japan.

 

The Singaporean driver will be competing in the Mosler MT900R GT3, a car which he acquired and raced with during the 12-hour Merdeka Millennium Endurance race in August 2009 at the Sepang International Circuit.

 

He will join 19 other drivers, when the series reaches the Japanese circuit for the first time for the final two rounds of the 2009 season, but Choo will be one of the few drivers who have experienced the very technical circuit, having driven at Autopolis two years ago when he competed in his Honda Integra DC5 during the Asian Touring Car Series.

 

The GT3 Asia will be held on 16-18 October 2009 with Qualifying scheduled for Saturday, 17 October at 1.50pm (local time) and Round 11 at 4.05pm the same day. The last race of the season will be held on Sunday, 18 October at 12.15pm.
